What types of exercises do I have in Mondly?

When it comes to exercises, the app features multiple types of interactions: you’ll swipe up and down, select the right answer, arrange letters into words and words into sentences, use your voice to repeat the correct pronunciation of certain words, and more.

However, it should be noted that there’s a progression between exercises.

While in the beginning, you’ll translate from your native language to the target language, as you progress you’ll begin to translate from the target language to your native language.

Here are the types of exercises you’ll encounter throughout your lessons organized by difficulty level:

  • Move the word to the correct answer;
  • Swipe up/down (with flashcards);
  • Select “word”;
  • Form the word by putting the letters in the correct order;
  • Complete the sentence (mention verb conjugator where you get the chance);
  • Select the correct translation (multiple choice);
  • Translate this sentence by choosing the right words in the correct order;
  • Click on the microphone and record;
  • Type the translation of the word/sentence;
  • Translate what you hear by choosing the right words in the correct order.
