Role Overview


Mondly is looking for a Finance Business Partner who is passionate about leveraging their expertise in accounting, data analysis, and relationship building to guide our financial direction, ensure compliance, and uncover opportunities. This role is pivotal in providing strategic insights and fostering relationships to deeply understand the dynamics of our business, its potential risks, and opportunities.

 



Responsibilities


·      Strategic Analysis and Reporting: Craft and analyze comprehensive reports, monitor variances, benchmark against forecasts, identify trends, and suggest corrective measures when necessary. Your role involves presenting these insights to senior management in a clear and concise manner, facilitating informed decision-making.

·      Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with budget owners as a strategic partner, aiming to enhance the financial performance of the company. This includes detailed computation, analysis, and commentary on key performance indicators (KPIs) on a regular basis.

·      Financial Compliance and Standards: Manage monthly reconciliations between Romanian and UK reporting and accounting standards, ensuring accurate and timely data input. You'll be expected to demonstrate a thorough understanding of these processes and their broader impact on the organization.

·      Project and Initiative Support: Lead the financial planning of new projects and initiatives by collaborating with business owners to prepare compelling business cases.

·      Process Improvement: Identify and lead the implementation of process standardizations and enhancements across different departments, driving efficiency and innovation.

·      Adaptability and Additional Tasks: Undertake other reporting and planning tasks as possible and required, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt to the company's evolving needs.


 

Qualifications & Skills


·      Proven experience in a senior finance role within Finance Business Partnering, Financial Analysis, Reporting or Controlling.

·      Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business management. ACCA / CIMA certification or ongoing courses are a plus.

·      Problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.

·      Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

·      Experience working in a global context and collaborating with diverse teams across different regions.

·      Experience in extracting, transforming, and translating data into insights using tools such as Excel, Tableau, and/or Power BI.

·      Proactive and forward-thinking approach. Problem solving oriented.

·      Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
