Mondly Unveils New Mac App for macOS Catalina

We are excited to announce that Mondly for Mac is here!

More than eight years ago, we set out to build iPhone apps, as Apple offered by far the most advanced and innovative platform on the market. Working at such high standards inspired us to strive for an even more ambitious goal: to build the best language learning app in the world. That’s how Mondly came to be in May 2014.

Since then, it’s been an amazing ride and we have to thank our friends at Apple for all the support and recognition they have given us. Naturally, when they presented Mac Catalyst, we couldn’t wait to get started. So today, Mondly for Mac is finally here.

To put it simply, Mac Catalyst was designed by Apple to make it easy for developers like us to bring their apps created for the iPad to the Mac App Store.

Now, you’ll be able to access Mondly directly from your Mac while benefiting from the same speed and efficiency you had on the iPad or the iPhone. All without needing an internet connection.

We used the power of Mac to bring to the bigger screen everything you already love about Mondly on the iPhone and iPad. With the help of Mac’s great capabilities like its built-in microphone and the Touch Bar, you’ll be able to swipe up and down, arrange letters into words and words into sentences, select the right answer, type the translation of a given word and even use your voice to practice real conversations with the Mondly Chabot.

If you don’t have a Touch Bar, no problem! You can always use the keyboard shortcuts and finish a Mondly lesson without even needing a mouse.
