Brasov, Transylvania, Romania – The creators of Mondly, ATi Studios, have unveiled today their first language learning application for kids. Mixing child-friendly language lessons, a gamified experience, and a family-friendly design, Mondly Kids allows 5 to 12-year-olds to learn up to 33 languages in a fun and engaging environment.
The app offers access to the most common words and phrases in a new language, it enriches children’s vocabulary and makes language learning a fun and interactive experience.
A popular and fast-growing tech product, Mondly’s language learning platform has seen over 20 million downloads to date.
A family-friendly app for the new generation
Mondly Kids uses the same language learning principles that made Mondly popular to help children learn the basics of a new language in a fun way. The app packs everything 21st-century learners need to conquer a new language.
To bridge the generation gap, the app takes children on a language journey where they learn the basics of a new language through:
✓ popular topics such as animals, nature, food, family or sports;
✓ easy to use drag & drop functionality and multiple choice exercises;
✓ a gamified learning experience where children are awarded points and level-up for correct answers;
✓ high-quality audio recorded with professional native speakers;
✓ kid-friendly illustrations, music, and sounds to keep children engaged in the learning experience.
Mondly Kids is designed to involve parents as well. Parents stay connected to their child’s progress by picking the language they want their kids to learn, selecting the difficulty level (preschool or school) and tracking their progress with the specially designed statistics section.
Alexandru Iliescu, CEO and co-founder of ATi Studios, spoke about the decision to launch an app for the younger generation:
“Children are extremely different from adults when it comes to learning languages. They are tech-savvy and need to constantly be challenged and engaged otherwise they get bored. That’s why we decided to create a bespoke app to meet the unique needs of the younger language learners. Mondly for Kids is the result of our 5-year experience in creating educational apps downloaded by 20 million people in over 190 countries to date.”
